st.stephen children centre #1

Back ground
St.stephen childrens centre was established in 2005 by Rural Ugandans to cater for the needs of Aids Orphaned and underprevilledged children in rural communities through care, education and capacity building. It’s legally registered as a community development organization with Masaka District Local Government. [Registration number CD 5429]

Location
The main office of St.stephen childrens centre is found in Makondo Parish- Ndagwe Sub County in Masaka district in the south western part of Uganda. The distance from the KAMPALA [The capital city] is 126 kilometers.

Mission
Working together with other partners to empower aids orphaned and under previlledged children through care,education and capacity development for future sustainability.

Aims
To provide education opportunities to Aids orphaned and needy children in rural communities regardless of sex, religion and tribal affiliation.
To build capacities of orphaned families to enable them earn better living conditions.
To facilitate vocational trainings for youth who never got a chance to attend high school with practicle skills to enable them become self reliant.
To conduct trainings in different kinds of intergrated community development.

Organizational/Administrative structure
It’s composed of Board of Directors and Beneficiary [Parents/Guardians] committee members who are highly dedicated to serving vulnerable groups of people in rural communities.
