story of st.stephen #3.

Macondo was so peaceful palce. People were kind and considerable. Ben, who is the director of st.stephpen children centre, introduced his family to us. They greeted us lovingly. They were too much warm-hearted people. Although we were absolutely different folks compared to them such as appearance, skin color, culture, and so on, they treated us as real members of family. Ben's son and daughter, Benny and Cathe, were really sweet and lovable. At first time, these sweeties were amazed to see us. But, not much later, they and we play together every day and night. We laugh our head off due to their purity every day and night.
Everyday eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Ben's family, we could be more familiar to them. They supported everyhing to us. Even if we came here to work as volunteer to help children of st.stephen children centre, we felt like king and queen of Macondo by their an warm welcome. Not long after we arrived in Macondo, We fell in attraction of people in Macondo.
We prepared to go to st.stephen children centre happliy. We were already very exited before meeting many other children and teachers.

story of st.stephen #2.

we had lived in Kampala during about 2 months. actually before we came Uganda, we were highly influenced by our prejudice through lots of media. but life in Kamapla was not bad. there were everything. people were kind. above our expectation, food was good. even some of volunteers were put on a little weight.

of course there were many serious aspects of darkness related to society, education, policy, food, etc. it was a little bit difficult for us to belabor those because we were just foreign students. but we often had all sat at the table discussing the situation of Uganda.
anyway, after volunteer work(teaching children in primary school) in Kampala, most of the volunteers wanted to relax. they went out other countries to travel or something like that. but, we did not want to relax. we wished to keep volunteering. it was not easy to find other schools since most of the school faced the vacation. at that time, fortunately we were introduced by Ben, who was director of st.stephen children centre. st.stephen chlidren centre was located far from Kampala. but we did not hesitate whether going or not. Ben was always kind and considerable.
so, we readily decided to start new life at st.stephen children centre in Macondo. at that moment, we could not guess that this decision to go to Macondo would be the most happy decision in our life.
